In 2002, Jim Schram established Grizzly Supply Inc. Jim had previously been employed in the post-frame industry for over twenty-five years. A difference in business philosophy prompted Jim to resign his position and begin his own post-frame company.
Jim started out by selling post-frame material packages to contractors in central and southern Minnesota. He was working out of a small office in the local lumber yard in Danube, MN. The demand was greater than expected and expansion was inevitable.
In 2004 Grizzly Supply, Inc built a 17,500 sq. ft. warehouse on the east edge of Danube along Hwy 212. In 2005, the facility grew again with an additional 8,900 sq. ft. cold storage warehouse and an 8,300 sq. ft. office and shop.
In 2006, a sister company, Grizzly Buildings Inc, was formed to fulfill the need for fully constructed post-frame buildings. Since that time, we have constructed buildings in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.
In 2011 the Grizzly Companies were purchased by its employees: Jamie Poor Thunder, Kim Allex and Loren Odegard. Our business philosophy remains the same ~ we will continue to strive for complete customer satisfaction and provide the highest quality products and services.
