Divine House strives to provide a quality of life for people needing help with their independent living skills. This is done in non-threatening community based settings addressing the areas of community orientation, recreation/leisure skills, medication management and communication skills.
We seek to provide excellent care and service by creating specialized services to meet individuals’ needs. We offer services that will empower the individuals we serve to live and work as contributing valued members of their community.
Training is offered in all areas of residential life. Included are: communication, meal planning, meal preparation, housekeeping skills, laundry skills, personal hygiene, shopping, money management, first aid, self administration of prescription and nonprescription medication, use of telephone, use of public utilities, increasing independence in leisure and social skills, increasing independence in travel and mobility, and community transportation training which coincides with the individual’s current level of independence.
