Pioneer Heritage Insurance LLC, was established in 2003 from the merger of Heritage Insurance and Financial, Pioneer Associates of Spicer, and Green Lake Agency. In 2012, we acquired the Willmar Insurance Agency and then in 2017, expanded into Litchfield. Currently, we have four locations including Spicer, Willmar, Pennock, and Litchfield Minnesota, making Pioneer Heritage Insurance one of the largest independent agencies in the area. We represent a variety of highly respected insurance companies to assure you that your policy will be placed with a sound, competitive market. We are proud of our experienced staff who will personally work with you to meet all of your insurance needs.
Jim Tetzloff, President of PHI, is in our Spicer office and has over 30 years of experience in the industry, 25+ of them with PHI! He works with commercial and personal lines clients and company relations. Jesse Schweiss, Agent, works mainly with personal and life/health clients. Karla Ohden, bookkeeper, handles all of our accounting and payroll functions; Brian Nelson, Agent, works in both commercial and personal lines of insurance.
Our Pennock office is staffed by Kevin Crowley, an Agent with 40+ years of experience. He is our crop insurance specialist. Danell Johnson, Agent/CSR, handles the service work for our crop insurance clients as well as writing personal lines. Mackenzie Bowman started in 2014 and works as the CSR in the Pennock Office as well as keeping our social media current and relevant.
Sarah Gustafson in our Willmar Branch has 20+ years of experience as an Agent and is our Operations Manager. Her position includes HR functions as well as updating and implementing organizational processes to improve quality, productivity and efficiencies. Kelsie Gilbertson, CSR/Agent, specializes in farm and personal lines.
Our Litchfield office is staffed by Trisha Kruse, who has been an agent since 2003 and came to us in 2019. She writes commercial, personal lines, life/health. Amanda Duarte, CSR, handles the service work for the Litchfield office and became licensed in 2018.
